I like that they're still made in USA.UPDATE ON 10/6/2010: Last week with less than 500 miles on the new shocks only around 35 days after installation one of my brand new front shocks snapped in two! The weld that holds on the lower bushing snapped off. Could have easily left me stranded if I wasn't so close to home at the time. I contacted Monroe to find out about the problem but received a form-letter brush off. I have no idea if the replacement or the other 3 shocks are going to fail in the same catastrophic manner.
Amazon replaced it since it was within 45 days, but I find Monroe's lifetime warranty is only good through the dealer you originally purchased it from. Since Amazon doesn't take defective returns after 45 days, Monroe shocks bought on Amazon will apparently have NO lifetime warranty! Changing my review from 5 stars to 1 star. Definitely DO NOT recommend.
