(More customer reviews)I was overdue for a shock absorber replacement for my 2002 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab. After doing an in-depth research for a replacement, I finally settled with the Monroe Sensa-Trac, part #37073 for the rear. I made my selection based on its reputation, affordability, and customer reviews from other websites. After installation, I noticed only marginal improvement in the ride handling of my vehicle. I did not notice any "day and night" difference as what other customers say in their reviews from other websites. The Sensa-Tracs were suppose to be premium shock absorbers for my vehicle but it made little difference in ride handling. The ride was almost the same as when the OEM shocks were still installed. The Sensa-Trac claims to have the "damper" feature where it adjusts to different road conditions but as hard as I try to "feel" the "dampening effect" while running the vehicle in the same road I travel to work, I could feel little or no difference at all. Nevertheless, since it was time to replace the shocks, Monroes are a money-wise alternative compared to Ranchos (Monroe's sister company) or Bilsteins which are more expensive than the Monroes. I could not comment on Rancho's or Bilstein's performance since I havent used them but with today's economic crunch and my vehicle already paid off, its more intelligent to just spend on routine maintenance in one impact compared to adding another headache for a monthly payment for a new vehicle.
