I installed the Yellow Star (YS) H4 bulb in a motorcycle with dual headlights. The YS's socket is switched so that I may turn it on and off at will. When viewing both bulbs straight on, the YS's light signature is almost white in comparison to the yellowish color evident in the reflector of the regular H4 bulb. Both bulbs throw white light. This condition should otherwise serve to reduce catching the attention of law enforcement (if you choose to install the YS in one or both of your headlights.)
I am satisfied with the the distance and breadth of the YS's beam. However, its effectiveness in dense fog is nominal, to the extent that I wouldn't purchase this particular bulb again.
