(More customer reviews)I don't even remember when I got these, I think I finally installed them last summer. Here it is, springtime, and there are some issues but I like these.
It will take you more than 20 minutes unless you're well rehearsed in diving under the hood of your vehicle to switch out bulbs and wire a harness kit. Took me about 40 minutes, but that's after I had been switching between colored bulbs and OEM's. The kit installed well. I don't like to drill so I used screw that have already been installed in my Honda Fit. The color looks great; light throw looks better; people pay attention to drivers using HID lights (you ALWAYS keep your eyes on the bluer lights) and the high beams only switch the angle of output (and don't actually get brighter). I have a bit of a problem with the wiring harness that seems to be a little loose. Certain bumps, the lights flicker. That is what happens with after-market products sometimes. Yes, it can be a hazard and I need to get under the hood and make certain that the connections are all tight. I like that the bulbs have a metal mounting plate instead of plastic. WATCH for the plastic base of any bulb; between the heat and the pressure of springs holding bulbs, the plastic WILL weaken and eventually fail, which happened to me. Star deduction for the wiring harness issue. Otherwise they're working fine. I did buy another kit (have yet to install) for the fog lamps, and the lamps are 3000 kelvin (orange). Don't go higher than daylight (5600 or 6000K) because the higher or lower you go, your light output will diminish. I bought a pair of 8000K lamps that are still in, but I do want to get back to the 6000K bulb, because I did see a slight light dropoff from the old kit I had with the 6000K's. It had to be replaced since the plastic base failed.
