(More customer reviews)I am 'old school'. When we wired a trailer, we cut into the wires going to the vehicles tail-lights, spliced wires on to them, and brought them all to the rear where they terminated in a plug for the trailer.
But how the heck do you do that when your truck has FOUR hot wires (Running lights, brake lights, Left turn signal and Right turn signal), and the trailer only has THREE hot wires? (The fourth wire on that trailer is a GROUND, and is not even used in most applications)
There is an electronic module in this kit that converts four hot wires to three -
And it WORKS. I have all four functions on the trailer, with only three wires.
This kit even included a couple of cable ties and a packet of grease for the terminals to prevent corrosion.
It took me all of fifteen minutes to install, and that included "wow" time observing four functions from three wires.
