(More customer reviews)The 004XTs are great driving lamps, and excellent for their intended application. They shoot a relatively narrow beam *way* down the road. I replaced the 1100s on my motorcycle with 004XTs for just this reason and I'm very happy with the switch. But note, the PIAA 1100s and 004XTx have different beam patterns, 35 degrees versus 25 degrees respectively. (Compare to 90-100 degrees for fog lamps.) The 004XTs will not illuminate the sides of the road as well as the 1100s, just as the 1100s won't illuminate downrange as well. They're both excellent products--just pick the right one.
