(More customer reviews)I bought this scan tool because of the features described at the OTC website. The unit locks up once in a while. When I contacted OTC's Technical Service Department and explained the problem. the tech told me the unit was not designed for live data. Well, either he is wrong, or OTC is guilty of false advertising. The tech told me that the unit could read data from the ECM in the vehicle without it running because the ECM stores the data. There are lines available in the scan tool which are only active when the engine is running, if the engine is not running, the lines are blank. Other than that, I bought the tool because it has data steams which are not available on other scan tool which I have tried.
If it didn't lock up and if OTC's technical service knew the tools they are supposed to be giving technical advise about I would really like the tool. I do plan on keeping it.
